"Time is money..." "Time is of the essence ..." "I need more time..." "My timing was off..." Time! time! time! Well check this...God is OUTSIDE OF TIME. Just because we live in a fast-paced, drive-thru, "I-need-it-now" society, I think we sometimes lose sight of the fact that our time is nothing to God. In revelation 1:8 God tells us, "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,"says the Lord, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty." |
The word that sticks out to me the most in this scripture is "The Almighty" or in the Greek language "pantokratōr" (Where we get our English word today, potus, or president) which means to 'rule over' or 'in control of'. We take comfort in the fact that we serve a God that is not only in control of our lives but of everything around us.
Fam, relax... Breathe. Wait not only ON the Lord but wait IN Him as well. In His presence, in His Word, in worship! I heard a pastor on the radio not too long ago give this awesome acronym on what we should do in giving God our time: S.O.A.R
S- seek
O-obey
A- ask
R- rest
Isaiah 40:31 tells us, " But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will SOAR high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint." (NLT and added emphasis)
Trust God and do good fam. Don't fall for the lies of the world when they say "give me, give me, give me!" This world changes; look at technology for instance. But take comfort because THE WORD OF GOD NEVER CHANGES. He's faithful to finish the good work He's started, so sit back and trust God for the ride. Love y'all to the fullest and I mean that.
God bless and rest easy, fam
